Biography

Yair Engel is a designer, expert and consultant in sustainable innovation & Entrepreneurship, Cradle to Cradle and Circular Economy.

A leading figure and change agent, Engel has been promoting sustainable design amongst industrials, entrepreneurs, government offices and academic institutions in Israel and in Europe. In 2002, he founded Kayama – the Center for Sustainable Design in Israel and is the representative of EPEA – Cradle to Cradle in Israel since 2009. Engel is a committee member of the Green Label Council of the Israel Standards Institute.

An international speaker, he has been teaching design for sustainability, Cradle to Cradle and Circular Economy in major universities and design colleges. Yair is a fellow of the Heschel Center for Sustainability and a certified Cradle to Cradle design consultant

Yair is a trainer of the SwitchMed Green Entrepreneurship program and serves as a mentor in several innovation hubs and accelerators.
